And Here We Are…

…the end of July… In a word, YiKeS! Much time has passed, and only a little bit of summer remains. I guess all good things must eventually come to an end, though…

Random Caller

I arrived home from work last night to discover a series of ‘missed calls’ (and ignored answering machine). This made me curious, because someone was really trying to get in contact, but wouldn’t leave a message. Lo and behold, the caller did call back again…and I found out (quickly) that it was none other than the famous Bob Helwig!

Now, for those of you who don’t know, Bob was my three-act director and English teacher in high school. I hadn’t spoken with him for over a year and a half…and haven’t seen him in person for more on the order of four years. Regardless, he had a few quick computer-related questions for me…and just wanted to shoot the breeze…and all was good. They’ve ‘settled in’ since their big series of moves (which was about to begin when I had last spoken with him) and are happily residing about an hour and a half West-Southwest of here.

Upcoming Wedding

If only my work schedule (and other stuff going on) weren’t enough to keep me away from the keyboard a bit, we’ve got Ian’s (see GeorgePictures) wedding coming up this weekend. This proves to be an exciting event, but will take us to the Twin Cities area for a while…so I don’t know exactly when I might have another news post. Furthermore, I will be resuming the duties of Temporary General Manager at Subway for a while (beginning August 6th)…so my availability may be sporadic during this time.
