So I just looked back and noticed my last post was on Tuesday (11/20). I didn’t think it’d been that long, but it’s not terribly surprising. Due to the holiday and whatnot, we were kept pretty busy (in a Good Way).
Wednesday we went to the Thanksgiving service at church, then took off from there to head out to my folks’ place. After making up a homemade pizza at 11PM, we went to bed kinda late. No post that night. 🙂
Thursday obviously was Thanksgiving, and we spent the better part of the day (after about noon) at my grandparents place just down the road from Ma & Dad’s. It was a really nice time. The crowd was pretty thin, so things stayed relatively quiet and wasn’t too busy. Don’t get me wrong — the entire crew is fun to be around, but it gets almost chaotic at times. This was a nice change.
Friday was my day of adventure. In the morning, Beth and I left Kirstin with Ma while we went up to the old house to get a few boxes. While we were on that trip, we went and found the old abandoned house to the east of where my folks used to live. And then we walked down to the creek and I took a bunch of pictures. We returned, ate lunch, and I then went out on my own (on foot) to an abandoned place way back in the woods to the east of where my folks now currently live.
That was an awesome time. I got a load of pictures (most of them pretty good) and probably walked/hiked close to four miles. So that ate up most of Friday, and later that night Mark and Abby came out and we had some good times.
We came back home on Saturday in the midday, and shortly after we returned Minda came out to stay with us for a night. It was awesome to have Minda around again. She’s amazing. 🙂 And fun. So that pretty much ate up Saturday and the better portion of today.
Which brings us to right now (late Sunday night). I uploaded the abandoned stuff pictures, all of Kirstin’s pictures, and miscellany tonight , but I’m leaving the scenery stuff until tomorrow evening. I just don’t have time anymore tonight to do the ‘post processing’ stuff on those uploaded images (titles, tags, descriptions). That, and I already uploaded exactly 100 pictures today and 27 yesterday, so anyone that comes to see the photostream tomorrow morning (a return to business days) will have some time involved… 🙂
And speaking of statistics on photos — I reached the 3,000 photo mark on Flickr last night. Awesome! Some brief stats as of 11/25/07:
- 3,105 pictures total
- 1,603 Kirstin pictures
- 279 George pictures
- 402 Cat pictures (including aforementioned George count)
- 127 Dog pictures
- 370 Theatre pictures
So that’s pretty cool. That’s not an all-inclusive list, but the largest categories based upon my tag usage. Yes, I’m a dork. But a dork with a load of photos on Flickr! 🙂 Go me!
Anyway, it’s now getting to be close to midnight, so I’m calling it a night. Until next time (and I promise it’ll be sooner this time)…
