And it shows — she gained somewhere on the order of three-and-a-half pounds in the last month. Crazy. 🙂 She is officially nine months old today, which doesn’t hardly seem possible.
So she had a doctor’s appointment, which went really pretty good. No shots at this one, so that was nice. The only ‘unfortunate’ thing as it were is that Kirstin had to get her finger pricked so that a few simple blood tests could be done. Namely for lead, since we essentially get a free $40 gift card for just having the test done (through the insurance company).
She was a trooper through that stuff, though. Didn’t even phase her, really. She was more annoyed at the fact she couldn’t move around for a few minutes. At any rate, she’s most definitely growing. About 28 1/4″ in length, a head circumference in the 95th percentile (that’s right — she’s got the brains), and weighs in at 19 pounds, 2 ounces, which puts her in the 50-55th percentile (in other words, average).
So that’s cool. She’s getting bigger. Beth and I were both quite surprised at the weight gain. I know she felt heavier, but just figured it was me being lazy or something. Quite the opposite, really. So all that eating she does very well…it’s paying off. 🙂
Anyway, I’ve had a long week and I’m awfully tired, so I’m heading for bed. Many projects lie ahead tomorrow, and in a perfect world I’ll sleep in for a little while before they begin. 🙂
