It Can All Fit…

Cute Smile
She wasn’t all that smiley tonight, but it was awfully cute to catch the few she had. 🙂

…if you just plan it out a bit.

Tis the lesson I found out this evening while I winterized and organized stuff in the shed. I managed to somehow fit everything in…and have room left to spare. Considering that I added the grill to the shed’s already crowded contents, I was amazed.

It didn’t really take all that long to do, but I’m glad it’s over. All of the hoses are coiled up (and drained of most water), everything with a gas engine has been winterized as much as necessary (namely fuel treatment and a final run), and the shed was swept out. It looks pretty good in there right now.

There are still some outdoor projects that need to be completed yet, but the major bits are now done and things are put away for the year. It’s a good feeling to have a project like that complete.

Short of that, it was a pretty normal Sunday. Church, nap, random projects at home, quiet evening…

I did notice tonight when I fed the dogs that they both seem to be much happier now that they’re back on the west side of the house. I noticed it particularly in Kurva, whose attitude was much happier when I fed her. She was more excited than she had been over on the east side, so that’s a Good Thing. The only real downside to having them to the west is that there’s no light over there.

We’ll see how it goes this winter; maybe I’ll have to add some sort of floodlight system to their areas so we can at least see what’s going on. But that’s by no means a necessity. The old flashlight method can still work just fine. 🙂

The next project on the list is to do some electrical work in the basement. Well, at least start planning for that. It’s not like a lot is going to change, really…but it needs to be organized differently in coordination with the additional light and outlets that will need to be in the cistern at some point in time.

But in the meantime, it is back to the mill tomorrow. It was awfully nice to be at home for an entire weekend without other commitments, though. It’s been a while since that last happened for me.

So until next time…
