Happy To See Me
She was happy to be sitting on the couch and reading her book. And to see me, of course. 🙂
Okay, so I didn’t actually mow the lawn myself (Beth did it), but it finally got done. At least most of it did. The grass was going on eight inches in length in areas of the yard; it was well beyond where it needs to be at this time of year. Especially since this will likely be the last mowing of the year…so long grass throughout the winter isn’t necessarily a Good Thing, especially from the aspect of ‘critter control.’
I had some early mornings on Thursday and Friday, along with spending some quality time in the tractor Friday and today, hence my more brief absence. One of these days I’m going to sit down and write a long-ish post about some random topic that comes into mind. That’ll be cool. I just don’t know when that’s supposed to be just yet.
Beth’s folks came down yesterday and left today. It was a brief interlude, but they came bearing homemade sauerkraut and canned carrots. Haven’t really tried the carrots (those are mostly for Kirstin’s sake), but the sauerkraut is fantastic. So that’s a Good Thing.
In other random news, the hard drive swap and ensuing changes seem to be working well. I’m not sure why my computer randomly seemed to decide to not recognize the 80GB drive, but it’s been functioning without issue ever since I removed and reinstalled it, having copied its entire contents in the meantime. The new 40GB system/program drive (imaged from the noisy 28.5GB drive that was its predecessor) has been working well. Gotta love PartitionMagic. Not only did it completely image the drive’s partitions, but it did it well enough to not cause any sort of problem and allowed me to resize them as I saw fit (after the imaging fact). So that’s cool.
So anyway, that’s about all that’s new here for now. So I’m heading for bed. Until next time…
